How to Prepare for Your Hair Transplant

Doctor reviewing records

Good preparation helps your procedure go smoothly and supports healing afterwards. Here is a simple checklist.

Two weeks before

  • Stop smoking if you can. It slows healing.
  • Ask your doctor before stopping or starting any medication.
  • Avoid alcohol for at least 3 days before the procedure.

The day before

  • Wash your hair as normal and skip styling products.
  • Arrange a lift home and plan a few quiet days.
  • Get a good night’s sleep.

Wear a button-up shirt on the day so you don’t have to pull anything over your head afterwards.

On the day

Eat a light breakfast, bring your aftercare questions and relax. Our team will guide you through each stage.
